In a move mirroring the collaborative spirit seen in many U.S. amateur sports leagues, badminton clubs are actively seeking to expand their horizons and foster a sense of community beyond their immediate rosters. This initiative, spearheaded by clubs like the Richelieu badminton Club, aims to break down silos and introduce fresh competition through regular, friendly inter-club gatherings.

Marilyne Jousseaume, president of the Richelieu Badminton Club, highlighted the driving force behind these events.We have the new Richelieu gymnasium available one Sunday a month. the idea arose among us to establish contacts with clubs in the department, in the form of friendly and convivial sporting meetings, in order to diversify the oppositions, she explained. The Richelieu club, wich focuses on recreational play, boasts a solid base of 25 adult members and approximately twenty young players, demonstrating a healthy growth trajectory.
