Badminton & Billiards: Competitive Action

Within the framework of the Tu Dawmotgu Sports Competition at Phuc Quan Badminton Club, the organizing committee of the 1st Tu Daumotgu Sports Competition 2025 held the opening ceremony of the Old Badminton Competition with hundreds of players participating.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ho Chi Minh City’s Minister of Culture and Sports, Thu Zhou Mot district leaders, local residents, units, enterprises and hundreds of athletes from the district.

On the same day, at the Royal Billiards Club, the Tu Zhou Mot District Sports Festival Organizing Committee held a billiards competition with 60 players from districts and units in the district participating. Athletes competed in two events including one-cushion carom and three-cushion carom.

To date, Thu Dau Mot District has hosted four of the 10 competitions, with over 400 local athletes participating. The table tennis competition will be held on the morning of November 2nd.
Mr. Vuong Duc Hieu, Director of the District Culture, Information and Sports Center and Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said: Billiards and badminton competitions are part of the first Tu Dou Mot District Sports Festival in 2025.

The tournament contributes to promoting the development of local sports movements.

The competition not only provides an opportunity to promote the development of local billiards and badminton sports, but also provides an opportunity for players to compete, interact and learn from each other, gain experience to improve technical expertise and select outstanding players to participate in higher level competitions.

At the Tudaumotgu Sports Festival, 10 sports were held, including men’s soccer, women’s volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, cross-country, aerobics, billiards, tug-of-war, and stick pushing.
