With the beginning of the new sporting season, Judo returns to the Polisportiva Ternana, where over 50 young athletes have resumed training under the guidance of the instructor Alessandro Cervelli, a fourth Dan black belt. Since 2016, reference point for the Judo section of the Ternano club, Cervelli has been joined this year by Alberto Massarelli and the new entry Anastasia Pastorinoto complete a solid and competent technical staff.
The courses, structured on the basis of age and technical level, follow a teaching approach attentive to safety and gradual progressionin order to encourage the harmonious growth of each judka. Training take place in three distinct groups, from the little ones to advanced practitioners, with Biseptimanal sessions on Monday and Fridayand an extra appointment on Wednesday dedicated to agonists engaged in the federal circuit.
“We follow each group with attention and method – explains Cervelli – enhancing the dialogue with the little ones and trying to understand the reasons of the older ones.” For the Ternano instructor, in fact, Judo It is not just sport, but a real educational disciplineable to develop self -esteem, respect and awareness.
Particular care is aimed at the initial phase of learningwhere you work on falls, pre-acrobatic exercises and small motor problemsavoiding early specialization. “Children learn through play and discoveryfollowing your instinct. Our goal is that everyone can find their own space and size within the Dojo “, underlines Cervelli.
The calendar of the 2025 season is announced particularly rich in appointmentsbetween competitions, exams and training activities. Already in the next weekend they are planned The black belt exam of two athletes, a regional training and participation in the European Cup Master in Jelsa, Croatia. In mid-October it will be the turn of Riccione, with the competitions for the Under 13 and Under 15 categories. On 18 October it will be up to the pre-agonists, engaged in Umbrian Cup of Spellowhile at the end of the month the Under 18 and 21 will fly to Policoro for the GP Italia – Lucania stage.
The 2025 will close with the Italian and Under 15 Italian championshipsto which they will be added Trophy and Memorial designed to guarantee competitive opportunities even for those who are not involved in the federal circuit.
