Kinshasa,DRC – October 8,2025 – Basketball fans across the continent are buzzing with anticipation as BC new Generation,representing the Democratic republic of Congo,officially throws its hat into the ring for the 2026 Basketball Africa league (BAL) qualifiers. The road to Africa’s premier club basketball championship begins this fall, with qualifying games set to tip off from October 17 to December 20, 2025, in Angola.
BC new Generation has been placed in Group C,a competitive bracket that also features New Tech from the Central African Republic,a yet-to-be-resolute team from Equatorial Guinea,and Moanda BB of Gabon. the initial group stage matchups for this pool are slated to be held right here in Kinshasa, offering local fans a chance to witness the early stages of this high-stakes tournament.
“We’re incredibly excited to compete in the BAL qualifiers,” stated a member of the BC New Generation staff, Samuel Matondo. “This is a massive opportunity for our players and for Congolese basketball.
