With its affiliated clubs and its hundreds of licensees, the Departmental Badminton Committee of Lot-et-Garonne (CODEP 47) continues to boost the practice of a friendly and intergenerational sport.
Support for associations, organization of competitions and development of its communication: the committee asserts its driving role in the local sporting landscape. A central role for departmental badminton: A true relay between the French Badminton Federation, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Badminton League and local clubs, CODEP 47 supports volunteers and managers on a daily basis. “The steering wheel is developing in Lot-et-Garonne, driven by the passion of our clubs and volunteers,” underlines Gaël Dolhain, president of the committee. Tournaments, youth courses, training activities and support for associations: the departmental body aims to be an essential partner in sports development. A new committed office:
Meeting in a general assembly on June 28, CODEP 47 has a new office elected for four years. Around the president Gaël Dolhain, the team brings together Carine Rives (secretary), Stéphanie Vancauwenberge (treasurer), as well as the members of the Board of Directors: Pierre Feyrit, Cécilia Ducos, Xavier Allard, Amélie Champon and Lucas Auray, also responsible for communications of the committee’s Facebook page. A digital showcase to promote badminton: Since August 5, 2025, the committee has launched its official Facebook page, a true showcase of Lot-et-Garonnais badminton. Objective: to highlight clubs and licensees, share results, actions and highlights of departmental sporting life. “The committee’s digital communication only makes sense because it reflects the energy of everyone: managers, players and volunteers who keep badminton alive in Lot-et-Garonne,” explains Lucas Auray.
An accessible and dynamic sport: Badminton attracts new players every year in Lot-et-Garonne. Accessible from a very young age, it develops reflexes, coordination and team spirit. In a department marked by a dense and committed associative fabric, CODEP 47 intends to pursue its mission: to strengthen the attractiveness of badminton and support the clubs that bring it to life.
