Looking forward to the finals, this combination of strength and good looks hopes to achieve six consecutive victories and help the Fujian team win the gold medal.
The mass badminton competition at this National Games is divided into four age groups, including Group A (25-34 years old), Group B (35-44 years old), Group C (45-54 years old), and Group D (55-64 years old). Each group will determine a mixed team gold medal. Men’s doubles, mixed doubles and women’s doubles will be played in each match. In addition, Group B, Group C and Group D also decide the gold medals in men’s doubles and women’s doubles.
Fujian has a profound badminton heritage, a large number of talents, and brilliant competitive sports results. It also has a strong mass base. The Fujian Provincial Badminton Association sent a team of 31 private experts to participate in the badminton finals of the 15th National Games mass competition. The Fujian team and the Guangdong team are both traditional badminton teams. In the badminton field of the 15th National Games mass competition, the two teams are quite destined. Not only will they face each other in the semi-finals, but they will also meet in the final. In the doubles arena, Fujian Team D (55-64 years old) men’s doubles Li Kun/Jia Xuetao entered the finals and will compete with Guangdong Team Wang Mingji/Li Junzhao for the gold medal on the 26th.

Dai Jia/Yue Qin were a perfect team in the group stage and they won four consecutive games. Entering the semi-finals, they faced the host combination Zhang Zebin/Han Jie, and they won 2-0, achieving their fifth consecutive victory. Dai Jia revealed after the game that because of the strong strength of the host country, he and his partner were fully prepared for this game and gave it a go. He attributed his victory to good luck, and he also looks forward to getting a chance to play in tomorrow’s final to achieve his sixth consecutive victory.
Dai Jia and Yue Qin are both coaches at a local badminton training institution in Xiamen. They often participate in amateur competitions in Fujian and across the country. In addition to mixed doubles, they also participate in men’s doubles and women’s doubles competitions respectively. They once won the doubles championship in the YONEX “King’s Ambition” badminton competition, and Yue Qin was also the women’s doubles champion in the YONEX “Dancing Ambition” women’s competition. Representing the Fujian team in the National Games mass competition this time, they found that many old opponents they often see in national amateur competitions also participated this time. Not only are mass badminton and competitive badminton held in the same venue, but they are also fully aligned with professional levels in terms of venue facilities, competition organization, etc. This makes Dai Jia/Yue Qin and other private masters cherish the opportunity to compete even more.
