Now the Bundesliga Update Podcast team has decided on the real “eleven of the match day”. The overlap with the forecast is marginal.
Nico Schlotterbeck is the only one from the predicted “matchday eleven” who also made it into the real version. He is one of three central defenders selected by the Sportschau football podcast team.
Burkardt and Führich on the offensive
Leverkusen’s defender Tapsoba and Stuttgart’s Zagadou, who was back in the starting line-up for the first time after a long break, also made it into the defense of the matchday selection. And with Chris Führich, another VfB player is added – on the offensive together with Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric and Frankfurt’s double goalscorer and national player Jonathan Burkardt.
VfB’s second suit fits
Führich and Zagadou were new to the VfB starting line-up after the Europa League game against Utrecht and Mainz and were convincing – just like the entire VfB staff, who were surprising in many places. The podcast duo also sees the development in Stuttgart as positive and sees an indication that the competition at VfB is working.
