The future of badminton in mecklenburg-Vorpommern looks exceptionally bright,thanks to the powerhouse performances of young athletes from the Badminton Sport Club 95 Schwerin (BSC 95 Schwerin). At the recent state championships held in Güstrow, the club’s contingent delivered a stunning display of talent, securing an impressive eleven state titles across the U11 to U19 age categories. This remarkable haul, achieved amidst a total of 19 competitions, underscores the depth of talent and dedicated coaching within the Schwerin program.

Beyond the gold medals,BSC 95 Schwerin athletes also earned three silver and three bronze medals,rounding out a truly dominant showing. the event itself saw a record-breaking 87 participants from ten different clubs converge on the sports and congress hall in Güstrow, a testament to the growing popularity and competitive spirit within the state’s badminton community.

Patrick Dettmann, a key figure within the Schwerin coaching staff, expressed immense pride in his young charges. We have won the maximum number of titles imaginable for us.
