Baskerville at Brick Theater: Premiere & Showtimes

A very special premiere awaits theater lovers in Mülheim in November: The Mülheim brick theater presents “Baskerville” based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle not as a play, but as a live radio play, with currently generated noises on stage and music recordings. With this type of production, the brick theater is breaking new ground. Not only the audience, but also the ensemble itself is very excited about the result of this experiment.

“The Hound of the Baskervilles” is certainly the best-known Sherlock Holmes case by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, often staged in the theater and filmed several times. The Mülheim brick theater presents a version by the American author Ken Ludwig (translation Inge Greiffenhagen), which is designed to be comedic and reduces the extensive staff to eight people. The brick theater goes even further and reduces the number of actors to five who take on different roles.
