Badminton 2025/26: UGA Rinteln – Matchday 1 Results

The new season of the VT Rinteln badminton team has started. Already on September 27th. The Rinteln team played against SG Eilsen/Bückeburg/Pyrmont 1 in Langenhagen. With the exception of Christian Schücke, who was out due to injury, the team was able to compete with the best players. The men’s doubles Dominic Kirstein/Andreas Winter unfortunately lost in two sets, the second men’s doubles Sven Aits/Fabian Korte and the women’s doubles Tabea Korte/Olga Koczewski then turned the tables and won in two sets. Dominic Kirstein and Andreas Winter also lost in the singles against their strong opponents. But that’s enough of the lost games. Olga Koczewski won her singles, Fabian Korte also won, so that the mixed doubles Sven Aits/Tabea Korte had the point for the overall victory. And that successfully in three sentences. In the end it was 5:3 for the VTR team.

The second match of the matchday took place on October 6th. in Rinteln, the TK Berenbostel team traveled to the Weserstadt. This time the people from Rinteln were able to prevail in the men’s doubles of Christian Schücke/Sven Aits and Dominic Kirstein/Fabian Korte. Unfortunately, the women lost to a strong away doubles team. Olga Kozcewski was then able to make up for the lost point in the individual. Tabea Korte was also able to score points in the mixed doubles alongside Sven Aits. The singles of Dominic Kirsten and Fabian Korte contributed to the overall victory 6:2, only Christian Schücke was left behind. So a successful start to the season with two wins. The second match day takes place at the end of October.
