The regional archers have once again demonstrated their excellent competitive level in the 16th ‘Villa de Argamasilla de Calatrava’ Indoor Archery Trophy, held this Sunday at the Argamasilla de Calatrava Multipurpose Pavilion and organized by the Viarca Archery Club, with the collaboration of the Argamasilla de Calatrava City Council.
The day took place in a sporting and family atmosphere, with climatic conditions with mild and pleasant temperatures, typical of the La Mancha autumn, which have favored concentration and the development of the competition.
The regional athletes have achieved an excellent harvest of results, with ten archers classified among the best, showing the strength of their quarry and the commitment of their athletes.
Among the youngest, Vega Nieto García has achieved 1st place in the Women’s Benjamín Recurve category, confirming her promising projection. Along with her, Luna García-Rojo Mora has achieved a creditable 2nd place in the same category, demonstrating her perseverance and talent. In the men’s category, Orion García-Rojo Mora has climbed to the top of the podium as 1st Benjamín Recurvo Hombre, consolidating himself as one of the club’s young promises.
In the Female Recurve Alevín category, Sara Rivas Prado has obtained 2nd place, adding new success to her brilliant season, in which she has also stood out in the CLM Federation League.
For her part, Jara Nieto García, one of the most consistent archers in the quarry, has achieved 1st place in the Women’s Recurve Children’s Championship, reaffirming her leadership and sporting maturity after her recent second place in the regional League.
At Longbow, the club’s veterans have also played a prominent role. José Antonio Fernández Matesanz has achieved 2nd place in Veteran Longbow Man, while José Antonio Izquierdo del Castillo has completed the podium with a 3rd place, both demonstrating their experience and refined technique.
In the Senior Longbow Mixed category, Agustina Talavera Peco has reached 3rd place, expanding her record after a season full of perseverance and dedication.
In Senior Women’s Recurve, two of the club’s most outstanding goalkeepers have once again left their mark. Marina Guijarro Notario has achieved a brilliant 1st place, reaffirming her status as a regional benchmark, while Marta Álvarez Talavera has completed the podium with a 3rd place, confirming her great form after several previous high-level competitions.
The Viarca Club has highlighted the importance of this trophy as a meeting point between regional and Andalusian athletes, and as a prelude to the indoor season, which has just begun. The day has demonstrated the excellent level of Castilian-La Mancha archery and the strength of the clubs that promote it.
