Treimanis: 2nd Place – BMX European Cup U-23

Latvian athlete Mārtiņš Emīls Treimanis won second place in the U-23 age group in the BMX Cycling European Cup, the Latvian Cycling Federation (LRF) reports.

On Sunday, in the Czech Republic, Treimanis took fourth place in the U-23 group. In the final, the Latvian was in fourth place at the start of the track, later he failed to hold on, but in the finish, Treimanis defended his fourth position, while Danish Markus cheap won the second round.

In the men’s elite group Noah Rafael Lāke was able to overcome both the first round and the quarter -finals, but finished in sixth place in the semifinals, giving 12th place in the overall standings.

In the junior boys group, Gustavs Puriņš was the best Latvian athletes, who took sixth place in the semi -finals and ranked 11th overall.

Adeline Karklina, on the other hand, was the fifth in the final stage among the juniors and ranked third in the overall standings.

A total of 802 BMX cyclists competed in the Czech Republic’s final two European Cup.
