Tombew archers have returned to training. The sessions take place on Mondays and Thursday evenings from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the village sports hall.
The afternoon open houses held on September 13 saw a dozen families coming to discover the Archery activity. Then, at the end of the day, the general assembly of the association was held in the presence of Marie-Line Baderot, representative of the municipality, and Claude Moinet, mayor, who came to discover the practice of archery.
The balance sheet of the 2024-2025 season is very good for the association. The workforce is in small increase (+ 12 %), but the sports results exploded above all with more than 45 % of podiums (80) made on the various meetings of this season.
Novelty
In high point, Emmy Quhen (U13 Classic Arc) participated in the French shooting championship 18 meters in Boé and finished 9e After a title of departmental champion and a 3e Make way for the regional championship. Jean-Pierre Roland also participated in the French outdoor shooting championship (senior 3 bow in pulleys) and finished 24e. It was for these two archers their first participation in a France.
Since March, a time slot has been set up in the direction of young people from the IME de Casseneuil (Monday from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.). It is the result of a collaboration between Maxine Michaud, Archère du Club, and Lucas Le Pouvreau, responsible for the structure.
The financial assessment is slightly positive thanks to the help of the departmental council and the community of communes. Several projects are discussed: maintenance and increase in the number of targets indoors, possibility of lighting of the external shooting steps which was carried out with the help of the municipality.
