TB Eltville: Youth Badminton Success – Rheingau

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, our 3rd team also started their season in the district league B in Badminton Wiesbaden.

At home it went against SG Flörsheim/Rüsselsheim III, and although in the end it was a 3: 5 defeat, there was reason to be happy.
Particularly noteworthy is the performance of our young players Leonas Steiner and Felix Jung, who played for the first time with the adults and won all three victories for our team. What a strong premiere!

Die Matches im Detail

Leonas and Felix made short trial in the 2nd men’s double and won their game confidently with 2-0 sets.
Despite the strong appearance of the two young players, Konrad Walther and Tim Reiche could not win their games in the women’s double in the 1st Double, Janine Lüthi and Astrid Jung, Reinhard Elkmann and Daniela Roy in Mixed double.

Leonas added in the 2nd men’s singles and won an exciting three-set match. Felix showed his skills in the 3rd men’s singles and clearly won in two sets. Astrid Jung, who narrowly lost over three sets in a crime thriller, fought to the end.

Even if it was not enough for a win in the end, the 3rd team with their young talents showed that an exciting season is ahead of us.

Keep it up, boys and girls! We are looking forward to the next game!
