Special Olympics Chile: 3×3 Basketball World Cup Qualification

Last Saturday, September 6, the qualifying tournament was held for the Unified World Basketball World Cup 3 × 3which will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in December 2025.

The instance was developed within the framework of the Unified first 3 × 3 basketballorganized by the Andrés Bello University (UNAB) and the local Motorskills program.

The delegation of the Andrés Bello University, directed by the professor José Luis Camposhe obtained first place in the qualifying category, which allowed them to officially ensure their participation in this important international event.

Chile will be part of the Group b next to Canada, Montenegro y China Taipei. Even Puerto Rico will attend 20 male teams and the same number of female delegations.

«We are happy to represent Chile in this World Cup. We will leave everything on the court to see if we achieve a new medal for our country, ”said the José Ignacio Espinosawho together Exequiel Pradothey are third and second year students, respectively, of the Diploma in Labor Skills.

This instance reflects the real impact of our program on the formation of people with disabilities, promoting their autonomy, inclusion and active participation in society.”
