Lorena Wiebes’ sprint was so powerful that it made it possible to widen a gap on the rest of the peloton. The head trio and the British Pfeiffer Georgi (Picnic Postnl) arrived relatively group. The French Margaux Vigié (Visma-Lease A Bike) lost contact and finished 5th, in front of the peloton settled by the Italian Maria Giulia Confallonieri (UNO-X Mobility). Shari Bossuyt (AG Insurance-Soudal) took 7th place after falling during the stage.
The general classification reflects that of the stage, but the bonuses allow Wiebes to count 4 seconds in advance on Balsamo, 6 on Copponi and 10 on the rest of the plateau.
