Pizzighettone Basketball 2025: Selvino Champion Crowned

The 22nd edition of the Campizzi, the historic summer event organized by the 1995 Pizzighettone Basket Team and the Pizzighettone, basketball team, ended. As per tradition, for the third consecutive year, the Camp took place in Selvino (BG), hosted by the Harmony Suite Hotel from 24 to 30 August. The company wanted to express a heartfelt thanks to the structure for the reception and support offered throughout the week.

The 2025 edition saw the participation of 110 athletes, from the youngest of the minibasket born in 2016 to the 2007 children from the youth sector of the Biancoblù club and the affiliated companies: Zerosei Soresinese Basket, Polisportiva of the Oratory of Castelleone and Frassati of Castiglione d’Adda. To these were added 14 between coaches and instructors and 12 managers.

The Camp program has included technical and athletic activities carried out in three indoor structures – including the sports hall – two outdoor fields, a swimming pool and the parks of the town, used for physical preparation. A complete formative proposal that alternated basketball, motor exercises and moments of sociality, in an ideal context for the sports and personal growth of the participants. Present to coordinate the activities Davide Giova and Luca Baroni, responsible for the minibasket and youth sector respectively, together with Dino Albertoni, coordinator of the club’s youth and minibasket activities.

Starting from August 27, Campizzi also welcomed the first team of Mazzoleni Pizzighettone, who carried out a part of the pre-season preparation in Selvino, sharing structures and atmosphere with young athletes. For Senior training, expected from the third consecutive season in Interregional Serie B, it was an opportunity for a first block of high intensity work at altitude. The period on the highlight for the boys of coach Giovanni Baiardo ended with the first test of this pre-season, against the equal category of Bluorobica Bergamo. The griffins, who had to give up Belloni and Ndiaye struggling with some physical problems, imposed themselves 78-69. The performance of Beghini, Samjia, Tolasi and Segala should be noted, while for the Bergamo persons convincing evidence of the expert Sergio and the young Polanco.
