It’s official. The Bayonnais FC rowing was bought by Santiago Cucci who became president of the club. The Basque businessman had applied to buy the Girondins de Bordeaux in early 2024. He took possession of ABFC which evolves in National 2 in the same group as Bordeaux.
Karim Fradin came his shares to Santiago Cucci, can be read in an official press release from the ABFC club this Monday evening. Karim Fradin remains involved in the club as director of football.
In February 2024, Santiago Cucci had attempted a takeover of the shares of the Girondins de Bordeaux with the French billionaire Michaël Benadbou, in vain.
