Anna Kalinskaya’s latest statements continue to cause vortex in the tennis world. In a podcast, the Russian claimed that Holger Rune had written her ten times – which she found to be attacking. Now the Dane expresses itself and tries to smooth the waves.
“Ha ha. We could have cultural differences that lead to Anna reading a comment on a story as an invitation to a date,” Rune wrote on the platform X. and further: “If I want a date, I ask for a date. Don’t worry.” With his statement, the 21-year-old reacts to Kalinskaya’s allegation that he-and other colleagues-would not be spilling with fame through “desperate news”.
For Rune, this is not the first time that his name appears with unpleasant headlines. Already in the summer, Veronika Kudermetova accused him of continuing to have been looking for contact despite a clear rejection. This story also caused a conversation at the time – and is now scratching his reputation with Kalinskaya’s statements.
