Grégoire Dominates luxembourg Tour Opener, Extends Winning Streak
Romain Grégoire is on a roll, and he’s not slowing down. Just ten days after clinching victory at the Tour of Great Britain, the French powerhouse from Groupama-FDJ has once again found the winner’s circle, taking the opening stage of the Luxembourg Tour.
In a display of raw power in the final kilometer, Grégoire unleashed his signature punch too out-sprint Marijn Van Den Berg and Marc Hirschi. This crucial win also propelled him into the lead of the general classification, giving him a four-second advantage thanks to valuable time bonuses.
“What a sprint! We scouted the finish yesterday with the guys, and I realy liked it. I was incredibly motivated to get this win. We took control in the final three kilometers, and to come away with the victory, that’s why we’re so happy.”

Entering the race as a strong favorite, Grégoire lived up to the billing on Wednesday. It gave me a lot of confidence to be considered among the favorites, knowing I could win based on my performance in Great Britain. That belief really helped me hold on to the line in this final sprint,
he commented.
this isn’t the only success for French riders this week. Earlier, Paul magnier of Soudal-Swift Step also secured a sprint victory on the first stage of the Tour de Slovakia, showcasing the depth of talent emerging from France.
