NFL supporters were certainly curious to see Aaron Rodgers at work for his new training in Pittsburgh Steelers.
Some saw a profitable association and a beautiful location for a quarter of 41 years after a tumultuous stay with the New York jets. For others, doubts were more than present and they were difficult to glimpse segments of the Rodgers when he wore the colors of Green Bay Packers.
On this first Sunday of the regular season in the NFL, Rodgers was perhaps motivated by a confrontation in New York against his former team, but he certainly delighted his new supporters of the Steelers and exceeded their expectations.
The quarter has managed his entry this season with four Touché passes and he led the Steelers to a victory from 34 to 32. In addition to his four Touché passes, the veteran completed 22 of his 30 passes for 244 yards.
On the first offensive sequence of the Steelers match, Rodgers joined Ben Skowronek for a touch with a game of 22 yards to record his first pass of a touchdown in the uniform of the Pennsylvania troupe.
The replacement of Rodgers with the jets was however bright in this match. Justin Fields replied by targeting Garrett Wilson for an adult over 33 yards. The jets thus had orders 9 to 7.
Late 19-10, a quarter of the Steelers spotted Jonnu Smith for his second pass of the match at the end of a sequence of nine games in the second quarter.
After a touch on the ground of Fields in the third quarter, Rodgers approached his team with two points with his third pass of the match of the match, this one to Jaylen Warren. After a reversal on the shipping kick, the Steelers recovered the ball. It was not until 50 seconds to see Calvin Austin III seize the pass of Rodgers to place his team in control 31 to 26.
Fields orchestrated a beautiful offensive push of 12 games which he finished with his second middle finger in the match alone. He was forgotten on a fourth test and a rod at the goal door and he easily crossed the line to add six points to the table in order to bring the scoring at this time to 32-31 jets.
Author of a placement on 56 yards earlier in the confrontation, Chris Boswell saw Rodgers and the attack being hampered in midfield. He set off on 60 yards and he was able to place his team forward by two points with 63 seconds to do.
Fields had one last chance to provide victory to his team. He tried to get a first game by joining Wilson, but another new new in the Steelers distinguished himself. Jalen Ramsey made a tilting tilted to prevent the receiver from keeping the ball and he confirmed at the time the victory of the Steelers to launch the Rodgers era.
Fields added 48 yards to the ground to his 218 harvest by the pass in the confrontation. Breece Hall shone by land in jets with 107 yards in just 19 races.
Wilson amassed 95 yards as a main target for Fields.
Among the Steelers, the former Seattle Seahawks, DK Metcalf has transformed four caught into 83 yards.
