Nguyen Thuy Linh: Badminton Tournament Drawcard

Today (September 4) in Ho-Chi-Minh-Ville, the Badminton Open Badminton Committee of Vietnam announced the 2025 season, rich in strong points in terms of expertise and organization. Nguyen Thuy Linh, Vietnamese number 1 Badminton, confirmed his participation in the tournament and, with his 18th place in the world, was chosen head of number 1 of the simple ladies.

Talented and beautiful, Nguyen Thuy Linh has many fans. She won the simple female championship in three consecutive seasons of the Vietnam badminton open, from 2022 to 2024. Before returning to Ho-Chi-Minh-Ville to defend her title, Nguyen Thuy Linh obtained the right to participate in the knockout stages of the simple female of the world badminton championship after having fought Ratchanok Intanon (Thailand, 10th in the world).

Although she is the most promising candidate for the title of champion of simple feminine of the Badminton of Vietnam 2025, the coaches believe that Nguyen Thuy Linh also has tough opponents like Tanvi Sharma (India), Cai Yan Yan (China), Han Ga Eun and Kim Min Sun (Korea). Among them, Tanvi Sharma, 17, beat Thuy Linh at the US Open 2025. His opponents have the potential to create a surprise, but Dong Nai’s player expressed her determination to defend her home champion title, with the support of a large audience.

In addition to Nguyen Thuy Linh, the Vietnamese badminton also counts on the participation of other players such as seen Thi Trang (simple ladies), Nguyen Hai Dang and the Duke Phat (simple gentlemen). The Vietnam 2025 badminton open open attracts nearly 300 players who will compete in simple gentlemen, simple ladies, double gentlemen, double ladies and mixed double. The total endowment of the tournament amounts to 110,000 USD (approximately 2.8 billion VND).
