Marcos Leonardo: Latest on São Paulo Talks

Sao Paulo tried to negotiate until the last possible moments, but could not close with striker Marcos Leonardo. Throughout the week, Tricolor Paulista had several meetings and contacts with Al-Hilal, but could not convince the Saudi club to count on the player.

With the end of the transfer window at dawn on Wednesday (3), São Paulo gave up the negotiation. If the business depended only on Marcos Leonardo’s desire to transfer to the São Paulo club, the transfer would have happened. The striker agreed to give up much of the salaries he would have to receive at Al-Hilal. Even so, it was not possible to complete the operation.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, after the negotiation Melar, the striker made a publication on social networks. In his personal profile, Marcos Leonardo published an image with a “reflective” phrase.

“In the end, it’s you and you,” he posted the 22 -year -old Brazilian.

The center forward has a contract with Al-Hilal until June 2029. By the club’s choice, he will not be registered to compete in the Saudi League, but there is a great chance to play the Asia Champions League, at the request of Italian coach Inzaghi.
