In spring, the country roads had called for the resignation of LASK boss Siegmund Gruber with drastic words and banners. The fans accused him of “ignorance and arrogance” – and completely withdrew from organized support. “Gruber out!” At that time it echoed through the Raiffeisen Arena.
Well, half a year later, the surprising turnaround: The fan scene announced on Tuesday that it is now fully behind the team. The decisive factors were initial improvements in ticketing (more family -friendly prices), a more positive appearance of the club and the return to the city colors.

Almost at the same time, the club provided the next surprise: At a press conference for the derby against Ried, managing director Gruber and BWT boss Andreas Weissenbacher announced that the LASK will no longer compete in pink, but in Windhager-Rot from 2026/27.
Background: Weissenbacher took over the insolvent heating area of Windhager in 2024. While Rosa remains present in the stadium, Gruber emphasized: “Red is also integrated into our club colors, a positive side effect is.”
Weissenbacher rejected fears that BwT wanted to take over the LASK: “I certainly don’t mix in the LASK. Extreme positions are never good.” The partnership between the club and the BWT runs at least until 2032. In addition to the jersey question, the sponsor is also decisively involved in the financing of the Raiffeisen Arena.
