At the end of July, the Hessian Judo Association invited its athletes from the U11 and U13 age groups to this year’s individual championships. 6 judokas of the Judo talent promotion group had also traveled to Main Valley at high summer temperatures to fight for a medal at the highlight of the year.
Started on Saturday Arvid hurich (-34kg), which was included in the RMS sports class of grade 5 this school year, in the U11 age group. In the main round, he won all of his fights confidently and showed a strong performance in the stand and in the ground. He was in the final, where he was defeated, but at least that Hessian runner -up title secured.
The U13 started the following day. This time particularly convinced Jan Hartmann (-40kg), which mainly noticed through its waiting and considered tactics. So he won a struggle with a textbook-booked Ko-Soto-Gake, which he started at the exact right moment and gave his counterpart no chance. After Siegen against Brei Brandic Espinosa (Kim Chi Wiesbaden), Levin Lotz (TSG Blau -Gold Gießen) and Hugo Rolf (Homburg gymnastics community), Hartmann earned in the final of the weight class -40kg. A little unhappily he had to give up in this Matteo Caruso (1. JC Samurai Offenbach), who was able to use a soil situation quickly and surprised Hartmann with a stopping technique. The Runner -up is a great success for Jan Hartmann, who was able to fight for a medal at Hessen championships for the first time.
Caused a big surprise Ugly Troi (-33kg, female), who only had to give up on the two title favorites that day. After Siegen against Ela Ince (JC Wiesbaden) and Hannah Elisa Berg (TG Rimbach), Troni faced the boo for strong Wiesbadener Aurora Steinberg (Kim Chi Wiesbaden, later runner -up), who was defeated. In the semi-finals, she met as a pool of Hesse Karyna Vashechko (SV Blau-Gelb Darmstadt), against which she also “pulled the shorter”. Urata Troni ended the tournament after a strong appearance with one Bronze medal at Hessen level.
Arvid Heurich, who dared a double start in the U11 and the U13 this weekend, stood in the semi -finals after a freewheel and a win. There could not prevail against a strong opponent from Offenbach. In the small final, Arvid showed good approaches, but was defeated at the end. He reached a strong 5th place.
Julius Michel (-34kg), who started the tournament with a win against the Kasseler Matteo Scheffer, was also unable to fight into the medal ranks. Michel subsequently lost in the main round and was no longer able to stage himself in the consolation round.
Gleb Schmidt (-46kg), which has so far had very little tournament experience, has not yet won a victory at his first Hessian individual championship, but had the measure as a good training session. Andreas Krenzer (-31kg) also left unhappily after two defeats.
The talent promotion group and performance group Judo congratulate all fighters on their committed participation.
