About SP Open

The WTA of São Paulo, called SP Open today, is a WTA 250 female professional tennis tournament. It is the first of the WTA level played in Brazil since the last editions of Florianópolis and Rio, in 2016.

The competition, organized by IMM, the same promoter of the Rio Open Tennis Tournament, marks the return of the state capital to the official calendar of WTA after a 25 -year hiatus. This season will take place from September 6 to 14 at the Villa-Lobos Park Sports Complex in São Paulo and Duras.

There will be 32 tennis players in the main key, 24 in Qualifying and 16 doubles. Qualifying will be played on the 6th and 7th, and the main key will follow between the 8th and 14th.
