Grazulis Basketball Injury: 4+ Month Recovery Timeline

Latvian men’s basketball player Andrejs Grazulis will not be able to play for at least four months due to a foot injury, Emil Tom, the head of the Latvian national team delegation, revealed in the “Dor sector” portal “D sector”.

It has already been reported that Grazulis was injured in the Latvian national team match with Serbia on Saturday, leaving the field in the second minute. Latvia lost to Serbs with 80:84.

“I haven’t talked exactly to the doctors, but they could be four or five months,” Tom revealed, adding that Grazulis communicates with surgeons and will decide where to perform the operation.

In the first two games, he scored seven points each, with five rebounds in the first.

On the other hand, when it comes to injuries to Arthur Zagar and Krister Zorik, who were played with Portugal, Tom said that the Latvian Basketball Union (LBS) will report their health in the afternoon.

Turkey and Serbia have four wins in four matches in four matches, but Latvia has two successes, securing a place in the elimination tournament games for all three teams. Estonia and Portugal have one victory, but the Czech Republic, which Latvia will meet on Wednesday, has lost in all four matches and has already lost the chance to qualify for the semi -finals.

In the European Championship Finals, 24 teams in four groups play in Riga, Tampere, Katowice and Limassol at the end of August and early September. The top four teams in each group will qualify for the playoffs in Riga, finding out the medal winners.
