Good news for Barcelona and Hansi Flick. The German coach, and his second coach Marcus Sorg, will be able to lead the team from St. James’s Park’s bench at the Champions League premiere against Newcastle next Thursday. The two dragged a sanction match after the incidents that occurred after the end of the second leg of the semifinals last season against Inter Milan.
UEFA has partially accepted the appeal presented by the Barça entity and lifts both the suspension for a party that had imposed them for incurring a violation of the general principles and basic rules of the conduct rules that marks the regulation of the highest continental club competition.
Although they are no longer sanctioned, both Flick and Sorg will remain under a period of ‘surveillance’ of a year. This means that if either of them had an inappropriate behavior or reaction or outside the regulations, they would be sanctioned and the punishment that they have now raised will be added.
