The audience shouted “Voy!” The Paralympic Games Blind Football Test Competition was held in Panyu, Guangzhou
On the morning of September 4, the National 12th Paralympic Games and the 9th Special Olympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the “Single Olympic Games”) Blind Football Test Competition was held at the No. 2 Stadium of Guangzhou University Town Sports Center. Guangdong Blind Football Men’s Team 1, Men’s Team 2, Women’s Team 1 and Women’s Team 2 participated in the competition. In the end, Guangdong Blind Football Men’s Team 1 defeated the Men’s Team 2 6-3, and Women’s Team 1 narrowly defeated the Women’s Team 2 2-1. The field is full of highlights, and the players present wonderful events with enthusiasm and hard work. All departments of the Paralympic Blind Football Competition Committee have worked hard to ensure the smooth progress of the competition.

Athletes fight hard on the field
“Voy!” Use voice to convey trust and win honor with running
In the blind football competition, players mainly rely on voices and commands to act, and common terms are divided into three categories: game instructions, player communication, and audience etiquette. The game started at 8:30 am, and the sound of “Voy!” is one after another, attracting attention – this is a common slogan for players to compete. “Voy” (Spanish, meaning “I’ll come”) and “heat” can not only remind teammates of their own position, but also inform the opponent of movement to avoid dangerous collisions.
Physical confrontation is inevitable during the game. Liu Xueting, a member of the Guangdong Blind Football Women’s Team, still insisted on participating after being injured, and some of the women’s teams were also injured. “Our team has a slogan, “Don’t fall behind if you lose your skin and flesh, and don’t fall behind if you shed blood and sweat.” A little girl in our team was injured just now. If you don’t ask her to end, she won’t come down, so they are a group of athletes who deserve respect.” said Xu Yufei, head coach of Guangdong Blind Football Women’s Team 2.
It is understood that each team plays 5 players in the blind football competition. Except for the goalkeeper, the other four players must have a level B1 level, that is, they have completely lost their vision and no sense of light. To ensure fairness, these players must wear eye masks that meet the competition rules. The soccer used in this project uses a built-in bell and other sounding device. It will continue to make a crisp sound when rolling. Players judge the position, direction and speed of the ball by listening to the sound, and then complete technical actions such as passing, dribbling, and shooting.
Song Weihong, coach of Guangdong Blind Football Men’s Team 1, said that in order to improve the team’s tacit understanding and improve the goal rate, the players will conduct long-term training every day, and there will inevitably be physical confrontation during training, but everyone wants to win glory for the team, and never complains, and always practice hard. In the end, the team achieved excellent results in this competition.

Athletes tell their position with shouts
“Like it!” Each department performs its duties and is recognized by the players and coaches
In order to escort this event, all departments of the Paralympic Games Blind Football Test Tournament performed their duties and fulfilled their duties. “Thank you to the organizers of the event and all the staff. With them here, we can play with more peace of mind. I also hope that the University Town will become a blessing for our Guangdong team and help us achieve good results in the game.” said Zhang Jiabin, a player of the Guangdong Blind Football Men’s Team 1.

The bezel helps athletes confirm the field range
The Sports Exhibition Office takes “Technology empowers humanities, and integration conveys passion” as the core. Through the multi-dimensional linkage between video, audio and live performance, the arena is transformed into a vibrant stage, which not only warms up the competition, but also conveys a positive signal of “diversified participation and sharing of the whole people” in the sports cause of disabled people.

Vibrant opening performance
“The volunteers are friendly and always help us and take us to where we are going.” said Chen Jingyi, a player of Guangdong Blind Football Women’s 2 team. It is understood that the 40 volunteers who supported the Paralympic Olympics Blind Football Test Tournament received professional training in advance, assisting referees, medical staff, ticket inspectors, etc. according to the needs of the event, covering the event guarantee process in all aspects. “Although the weather is very hot, I feel that all the hard work is worth it when I see the athletes working hard on the field and hear the audience’s recognition of our service.” A volunteer said.
In order to respond to the event, the Medical and Health Department established a special medical and health security work team, formulated a comprehensive and multi-dimensional security work plan, and dispatched 21 medical and health security teams, 7 health and epidemic prevention teams, and 2 ambulances to create a medical and health security model of “on-site protection + real-time response + regional linkage” to ensure the safe and orderly progress of the event. “The organizer has prepared very well, I like them!” Xu Yufei said.
In addition, in order to help the contestants respond to the competition in the best condition, the reception office (peripheral support team) coordinated to complete the pick-up, check-in, dining matters and volunteer pick-up and drop-off vehicle support for 8 technical officials and 46-person sports teams (including team officials). The meticulous service and support work in the whole process demonstrated the “city temperature” of Guangzhou.
The Paralympic Olympics Blind Football Competition Committee stated that the Paralympics Blind Football Test Tournament conducted comprehensive testing and inspection on various facilities, processes, services, etc. related to the event, and was unanimously recognized by players, coaches and spectators. In the next step, all departments will continue to work hard and accumulate experience in order to improve and optimize before the official competition to ensure that the official competition can be carried out smoothly.
