Bola.net – Marcus Rashford’s position in Barcelona began to be questioned in just two months since joining through a loan scheme. The club reportedly felt dissatisfied with the initial contribution shown by the British striker.
Rashford imported from Manchester United last July was successfully registered with La Liga before the competition rolled out. However, his appearance in the three opening matches has not been able to convince Barcelona management.
This condition triggers speculation that Barcelona might take a drastic step by sending Rashford back to Old Trafford earlier than the schedule.

Barcelona began to doubt
According to El Nacional’s report, Barcelona is considering ending Rashford’s loan period. This decision is based on an evaluation that the player’s performance has not reached the expected standards.
Rashford has appeared as a starter in the first three matches of La Liga 2025/26, but his contribution is still far from satisfying. The situation worsened when he was pulled out when Barcelona left 0-2 from Levante on August 23.
Ironically, Barcelona actually managed to make a spectacular comeback with a final score of 3-2 after Rashford left the field. This incident further reinforces doubts about its important role in the squad.

In the midst of an uncertain situation at the club level, Thomas Tuchel still gave trust to Rashford. The England national team coach still includes his name in the World Cup qualifying squad.
Tuchel does not seem to be influenced by Rashford’s performance in Barcelona. He remains optimistic that the attacker is able to display his best abilities when defending The Three Lions.
Rashford will get the opportunity to prove his class when England entertain Andorra at Villa Park, before diving the match against Serbia.

Barcelona’s next agenda
Barcelona will continue the journey in La Liga by entertaining Valencia on September 14. This match became a crucial moment for Rashford to show his real abilities.
The team made by Hansi Flick so far showed encouraging performance by winning seven points from three matches early in the season. They managed to defeat Mallorca and Levante, and won a draw against Rayo Vallecano.
The positive trend of the team as a whole actually added a burden to Rashford to immediately make a real contribution, so that his position at Camp Nou was not increasingly threatened.
