Atlanta, ga. -On September 7, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. German time, the Regular Season in the National Football League starts for the Atlanta Falcons in Mercedes-Benz Stadium at home. For the team, however, it is not only the start of some new season this year, but the dirty birds celebrate their 60th anniversary. For a long time they dreamed of their own professional football team in Atlanta. A dream that took shapes in 1965 and finally became true in 1966. A lot has happened in the Falcons since the first regular season game on September 11, 1966 against the Los Angeles Rams. With the 60th anniversary, the Falcons will not only try to add some victories to their all-time record this season and hopefully move into the playoffs for the 15th time, but also bring some special promotions to the start:
Shhhhht! The Falcons are very likely to start this season with a special logo. The logo has not yet been presented publicly, but the owners of season tickets were presented as a anniversary logo in December 2024. This logo shows the number 60 in red color and is flanked on the left by the former Falcons logo (1966 to 2002) and on the right of the current logo (2003 until today). The number of year 1966-2025 is also under number and there is a small symbol in the form of a football. For three games in the 2025 season, the Falcons will also slip into their throwback uniforms-inspired by the original look from 1966.
