Alcorcón 3×3 Basketball: Championship at La Canalja

The Alcorcón City Council will organize, together with Alcorcón Basket and Basketball Creators, the ‘Play3x3 Circuit: Alcorcón Edition’, a basketball event that will take place next Saturday, September 13 at the La Canalja Sports Center.

As reported on Monday, the Consistory, this day will give life to the first stage of a circuit that will take this modality to various municipalities of the Community of Madrid, with dates and locations that will be announced soon, and that will culminate with the third edition of the ‘Play3x3Fest’.

The festival will take place from 10.00 to 22.00 at the La Canalja Sports Center, using a Olympic category basketball and 8 additional sports category to guarantee maximum participation. The evening will offer two competitions, the FIBA Male Professional Tournament ‘Quest’ and the Play3x3 ‘Madrid’ Madrid 25/26 quarry tournament.

The Councilor for Youth, Diversity, Technological Innovation and Sports, Carmen Martín, stressed that “this event reinforces Alcorcón’s commitment to sport as a pillar of social cohesion, promoting values such as equality, effort and inclusion through basketball in our public spaces.”

These categories will be present at all stages of the circuit, promoting continuity in the formation of young players. Registration includes a minimum of three games with referees from the Madrid Basketball Federation (FBM), a Wibo Gift and Basketball Emotion and Perfect Socks awards for winners.

With a duration of 12 hours, the ‘Play3x3 Circuit: Alcorcón Edition’ hopes to gather more than 500 athletes and fans who will enjoy the live action in the La Canaleja Sports Center. The atmosphere will be animated by a DJ that will fill the space with music, a ‘speaker’ that will give life to the games and ‘food trucks’ that will offer gastronomic options for all attendees.
