The XIV Costa del Sol Tournament is already here! One more year, the Unicaja will have one of the great quotes of the preseason of European basketball at home, this time with Alba Berlin and Real Madrid as rivals.
The event, which has the sponsorship of the Diputación de Málaga through Tourism Costa del Sol and the Malaga Compeite program, will open on Friday at the Paco Aguilar Pavilion of Vélez-Málaga with the Unicaja vs. clash. Alba Berlin (8:00 p.m., broadcast by 101TV and ⇒Unicaja Basketball Radio). It will be the second preseason meeting of Unicaja after the II Memorial Javier Imbroda de Melilla last Sunday, which ended with 59 to 77 victory against Melilla Basketball.
Unicaja’s rival A Alba Berlin who is a European basketball classic and one of Germany’s two most important clubs. In its record there are 11 Bundesligas, 11 Cups of Germany, 4 Germans from Germany and 1 Korac Cup.
As a curiosity, Alba Berlin has made the jump this season to the BCL after several years in the Euroleague. In fact, the German team is the main novelty of the European competition that the Unicaja is in force champion.
