Youth Project: Content Writer Role (16-29)

The Record Commission retained the Royalty Basketball project during the call for projects launched last April for the 16-29 year olds.

Carried by Herby Lamarre, a passionate resident and committed for more than 12 years to young people in the region, Royalty Basketball wants to be much more than just a sports league. Inspired by streetball (street basketball) and 3 format against 3 recognized at the Olympic Games, the League offers a dynamic and inclusive experience, where each match becomes a real event.

In place for already two seasons, the League will start its third year with the ambition to explode its participation. With 24 young people currently involved, the project aims to make Basketball 3 known more to 3 and attract new players.

The objective is to mobilize the community, to arouse a craze and to position Royalty Basketball for those who wish to progress in this sport as much as for those who simply want to have fun.

The League intends to develop its brand image and push the proposed experience even further. Thanks to the addition of an innovative media component: filmed matches, reruns on social networks and a strong visual identity, participants will have the opportunity to live a sports experience worthy of the great professional leagues.

« Royalty Basketball, this is the perfect example of a project that is both sporty and creative, which transforms the energy of young people into a true engine of pride and cohesion. By combining performance, inclusion and originality, this league embodies exactly what the commission raises wants to promote in Blainville “, Underlines Jean-François Pinard, municipal councilor sitting on the commission.

A project supported by committed partners

The city of Blainville wishes to underline the participation of the Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi Thérèse-de Blainville, which supports the promoters and contributed to the selection of projects, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Thérèse-de Blainville (CCITB), also a member of the selection committee. The financing of the project is made possible thanks to the support of the Youth Secretariat as part of the 2021-2026 youth action strategy of the Quebec government.

See you in 2026!

A second call for projects for the 16 to 29 year olds will be launched in 2026. The city of Blainville now invites young people to germinate their ideas for an even more inspiring edition!
