(Ipoh, 5th) Perak State Minister Datuk SeriThe state government is committed to making it easier for people to access and use through a number of measures.andFacilities, including constructionsports facilities, beautification of leisure areas, and support the development of grassroots sports projects through cooperation with local governments and civil society organizations.

He said that sports can consolidate social relations, cultivate a spirit of respect for differences, make society more harmonious, and strengthen government departments to all levels of the community. At the same time, through participating in active lifestyles advocated by sports activities, it can reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity, which are increasingly worrying today, especially among young people and employed people.

He said that just like PESUMA, similar sports meets are not only a platform for competition, but also a catalyst for promoting civil servants to develop a healthy lifestyle, and thus bringing positive inspiration to the entire society.

He said that the Malaysian Land Surveying and Mapping Bureau is one of the oldest departments in the national administrative system, with a deep history that has continued since the colonial era. This inheritance has become the foundation for promoting the continuous development of professionalism and has become increasingly mature with the challenges of the times.

He said that the hosting of the sports meeting in Perak is a lofty honor for the Perak Land Surveying and Mapping Bureau, demonstrating that the department is an active, united and outstanding institution in all areas, including sports.

He said that sports have cohesion beyond race, culture and language, which can unite and encourage each other, deepen each other’s understanding and establish a harmonious and competitive social foundation.

Kairudin later said at a press conference that a total of 20 participating teams participated in the sports event. The teams came from the land surveying and mapping bureaus of various states, as well as other land survey-related units. There were 2,500 participants and staff, and a total of 19 competitive sports events, which were held in various gymnasiums in Ipoh District, and there were also events held in Jiangsha.

Inquiring about the topic of hiring foreign players by the Pili Football Federation, Kyrudin said that Perak Football Federation will have the autonomy to decide on this matter to strengthen the competitiveness of the Pili Football Team in the A1 semi-professional football league.

He said that the state government will not interfere in blocking the decision of the Pili Football Association, because the association has the authority to decide on preparations and salary.

At the opening ceremony of the 35th Sports Games of the Malaysian Land Surveying and Mapping Bureau (PESUMA-35), 20 teams entered the venue in sequence. The teams of each state not only showed the state’s characteristics in their costumes and formations, but also carefully prepared mascots that symbolize each team, including tigers, crocodiles, chickens, proboscis monkeys and parrots. The scene was wonderful.

In the queue of entry, the contestants wore traditional costumes of various ethnic groups, not only competing with creativity, but also showing beauty. Each team won thunderous applause and cheers from the audience, and the atmosphere on the scene was high. The sport is held from July 3 to July 7.

The guests attended the meeting included Datuk Hazri, Director of the Malaysian Land Surveying and Mapping Bureau, and Datuk Mohammad Zaki, the Perak Finance Minister.
