Morelia, Michoacán, July 4, 2025.- The Secretary of Education of the State (SEE), Gaby Molina, expresses her most sincere congratulation to the already talented primary students who participated in the National School Sports Games of Basic Education. Their dedication and effort have given exceptional fruits, managing to position Michoacán as the fifth state with the greatest number of medals nationwide, a milestone that takes pride in the entire educational community.

These games took place in the city of Puebla, with more than 20 thousand primary and secondary students throughout the country. For two intense weeks, from June 18 to July 3, young athletes had the opportunity to demonstrate their competitive skills and spirit in various disciplines, in an atmosphere of healthy coexistence and high performance.

The competition was divided by educational levels, covering a wide range of sports. For the primary level tests were carried out in 10 disciplines, including athletics, volleyball, bádminton and basketball, among others. On the other hand, the high school students competed in eight sports such as chess and football, in which the diversity of sports talents in the school sphere was shown.

Thanks to the hard work and constant preparation of the Michoacan students, the state of Michoacán climbed to fifth place in the general medal, an enviable position that reflects the commitment to sports development. The Michoacan delegation returned home with a total of 17 medals: six gold medal, a silver medal and 10 bronze medals, which demonstrates the quality and potential of the young athletes of the entity.

The Ministry of Education reiterates its congratulations to all participants and winners. His dedication, effort and sports spirit are an example for Michoacán. They are reminded that they have the unconditional support, both of the state and federal education team and the commitment to the promotion of sport and the integral development of Michoacan children and youth is reaffirmed.
