Training. Bed for a ball and fell on my thumb of the left hand. This led to a bruise on the joint and an almost six -week break. That was a painful affair. I could only play with a thick tape association. In the meantime, however, it has healed completely again and I’m doing very well again.

You are now playing the Super Series tournaments in Singapore and Indonesia (200,000 US dollars prize money). What did you do in Asia?
In Singapore I play the first round against Rajiv Ouseph from England on Wednesday. Of course I want to win the match and then play against Chen Jin. In Indonesia I play in the opening round against Lee Chong Wei. Of course I want to do my best there and challenge it. I am in Training

Training. Good in shape and got new swing through the victories at the Sudirman Cup and the all-English.

What world ranking placement do you strive for in the near future?
So my goals in the near future do not depend at all on a world ranking placement. That is why I play only a few “small” tournaments and more large, with the risk of losing the world ranking list in the first round and getting little points-and less prize money. But in the long term I and my trainers think that I can only get better.
So the goal is: to play as well as possible, no matter who and technically, tactical and physically better.
