Éric Gelin: Badminton President Re-elected – Saint-Étienne-de-Tulmont

The elective general assembly of the departmental badminton committee of Tarn-et-Garonne was held on Friday June 6 in Montauban. On this occasion, Éric Gelin was re -elected unanimously to the presidency of the committee for a new four -year term, corresponding to the upcoming Olympiad. Practicing badminton for more than twenty years, Éric Gelin began his trajectory in this sport in the club The Stéphanois Badminton steering wheel, based in Saint-Étienne-de-Tulmont. He still occupies the position of vice-president. His commitment to badminton continued at the departmental level. He joined the board of directors of the departmental committee in 2014, as secretary general, before being elected president in 2019, following the departure of his predecessor. In addition to his functions in badminton, Éric Gelin is involved in other sports instances. Since last February, he has been sitting on the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee (CDOS) and has been part of his executive office. He also held the post of secretary general of the Departmental Committee for Medalists for Youth, Sports and Associative Commitment. The badminton, in the department, is experiencing a significant progression with nearly 800 licensees divided into 8 clubs. For his investment, Éric Gelin has received several distinctions: the youth, sports and associative commitment medal (silver step) and the medal of federal merit (silver step), handed over by the French Badminton Federation, via the Occitanie League.
