Cedric de’von Coward (Fresno, 11 September 2003) is an American role -playing basketball player guard and small wing, professional in the NBA with Memphis Grizzlies.

Coward began his career in university basketball in Division III with Willamette University. In the only season with the Bearcats he had an average of 19.4 points and 12.0 rebounds, being rewarded as a debuting of the year of the Northwest Conference and included in the ideal training of the same[1]

In 2022 Coward moved to Eastern Washington University where, in the first season with the Eagles, he had an average of 7.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.[2] The following year he was included in the ideal training of the Big Sky Conference after an average of 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.[3] At the end of the season he opted to change the institute again.[4]

In 2024 Coward moved to Washington State.[5] His only season with the Cougars ended after six games due to an injury.[6] Before then it was the best scorer of the team with 17.7 points on average, as well as 7.0 rebounds.[7]

After his season from seniorCoward entered the portal for transfers but also stated eligible in the NBA draft.[8] On April 28, 2025 he committed to playing Duke, but maintained his name among the eligible in the draft.[9] After the NBA Combine he announced that he would not play Duke but would pass among the professionals.[10]

Coward was selected during the first lap (11th overall) by the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA 2025 Draft and immediately exchanged with the Memphis Grizzlies.
