Kovac’s attempts to make calm with change had an effect. The Dortmunders got more calm into the game again. Ramos (90.+1) gave the last big chance to equalize for Monterrey.

“Playing against the biggest club in the world is a real challenge,” Kovac looked ahead of the game against the royal after the game against Monterrey at DAZN. Apparently Jobe Bellingham was not sufficiently informed about the rule that he had to watch a game in the tournament after his second yellow card. “He didn’t know it at all and was very surprised when he heard it,” said Kovac, who, according to his own statement, had to inform the 19-year-old during the half-time break.

However, the mood at BVB, which was able to look forward to a further $ 13.125 million prize money, did not detract from Tuesday evening in Atlanta. “We are happy, everything that comes now is a bonus,” said Kovac.
