Because of a video circulating on social networks, Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus has a high fine. In addition, the 28 -year -old midfielder will not train with the Bundesliga team, but with Borussias U23 in the next four weeks, the club said. The club did not name the amount of the fine.
“The behavior and statements of Florian Neuhaus are harmful to the club and unacceptable, he has damaged the club with his words and deeply disappointed, that is not compatible with the values of the association,” said Borussia’s managing director Stefan Stegemann, according to the club announcement.
The 28 -year -old football professional cannot be seen in the short clip when a voice with mocking statements about sports director Roland Virkus can be heard. In the Ballermann video the sentence falls: “He is the worst manager in the world.” However, it is not clear who said that, the video images do not allow any conclusion. It is not certain whether the voice can be assigned to Neuhaus. It is quite possible that it was pronounced by one of the surrounding Gladbach fans.
“Rollo gives Florian Neuhaus one, two, three, four million”
Shortly afterwards, a man comes into the picture who looks like the former international (10 DFB missions, 2 goals) and that apparently speaks about a million content. The man counts with his fingers like a child and says in a no longer clear voice: “Rollo gives Florian Neuhaus one, two, three, four million.”
“Rollo”-this is what the fans call sports director Virkus in Gladbach. Two years ago in the training camp on Lake Tegernsee, he had extended the contract with Neuhaus a prematurely four years (without exit clause). The 58-year-old said at the time: “Flo is supposed to be a face of our club and play a major role here.”
However, nothing came of it. Under coach Gerardo Seoane, Neuhaus is a maximum of Joker, the coach is not supposed to keep his defensive qualities. According to information from the “Bild”, Neuhaus actually earns four million euros a year and is therefore a top earner with the Gladbachers alongside Alassane Plea.
The team is expected on Friday for the first performance test in preparation for the new Bundesliga season in the Borussia Park. Neuhaus has a contract in Mönchengladbach until June 30, 2027. He has not yet commented on the incident.
