Maxx Crosby is about to start its seventh season in NFL under the colors of the Las Vegas Raiders. And his motivation to seek victories remains intact. The Edge Rusher spoke of the arrival of the new staff led by Pete Carroll and insisted on the cohesion of mind within the team and on its desire for victory.
Crosby wants to win with the raiders
Last season, the raiders finished with the sixth worst assessment of the NFL and will seek to straighten the bar in 2025.
“We want to win. I have a huge desire to win. I give myself 100 %, and I want everyone to be in the same state of mind. My goal is simply to take as many guys as possible in this mentality, “said Crosby.
Even if the team has not yet played a match and it is only at the training stage, Maxx Crosby was complimentary to the work of the new technical team. Arrived during the offseason, Pete Carroll’s mission is to relaunch the franchise. And to achieve this, he can count on executives like Crosby, fully invested in the project. “It is an honor, of course, to see the raiders with a new staff and a new direction, show me so much respect. It means a lot for me. It is not a question of what I have already accomplished, but of what I will still accomplish. And we have a lot of work in front of us, ”he said.
Considered one of the best rushers pass in the league, Crosby believes that a caliber player deserves to be present in decisive games in playoffs. However, in six career seasons, he played only one postseason meeting in 2021. Last season, all the other Rivals of AFC West participated in the Playoffs.
After missing five games in 2024 because of an injury, Crosby now says he is restored and ready to help raiders raising their level. The latter compared the path of his team to that of the Thunder of Oklahoma City, recent NBA champion, which bet on development and patience before triumphing.
“Whenever we enter the field, we want to be in a position to win. Individual successes are great, but that’s not why we play. We play to win. Look at the example of the Thunder: a few years ago, it was one of the worst NBA teams. They trusted the process, they have developed their young people, and today they are champions, ”added Crosby.
Leader of the NFL in Tackles For Loss in 2022 and 2023, Crosby was still invited to Pro Bowl last season, despite his injury. The latter ended the year with 7.5 sacks, five defended passes, 17 tackles for loss and 20 shots inflicted on quarterbacks. In total, it already has four selections in Pro Bowl.
