Tseminyu Badminton Tournament 2025: Updates & Results

3rd Tseminyu District Open Badminton Tournament 2025 organized by the Tseminyu District Badminton Association commenced on Friday at Tseminyu Badminton Indoor Stadium with RTO Kohima, Roben Mesen as special guest.
The two-days tournament will include, sub-juniors, juniors, open, and veterans’ categories. Altogether, around 50 players are participating in the tournament.
The special guest in his speech encouraged playing badminton and stated that badminton is comparatively less injury prone and keeps them hale and hearty.
He challenged the boys “If others can, why not you?”
He asked the players not to play just for the sake of playing and participation only but to take this sports seriously and even consider as one’s career option, acquire good attitude and not to undermine their opponents but be respectful and humble
He encouraged the players to never give up in their pursuit for excellence.
The inaugural programme was chaired by general secretary TDBA, Dr. Lilongchem Thyüg while vice president, TDBA, AZ Obed Magh delivered the welcome address and Tournament Director’s note was presented by joint secretary TDBA, Gwasplo Kent.
The closing programme will be held on Saturday afternoon with Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu Japheth Woch, as the guest of honour.
