Speyer / Metropolitan Region Rhein-Neckar. The women of the JSV Speyer fought a 7: 7 draw with Hertha Walheim in an exciting top fight. The Speyer women move into the playoffs of the women’s judo Bundesliga as the most table. Walheim also made the qualification.
The guests from Aachen, who had come into the final round as a promoted team last year and had lost significantly against Speyer there, increased significantly this year and continued their upward trend – this was also evident on Saturday in this tensioned struggle. “We showed a closed team performance, we had some injury-related failures, and we are now in the playoffs as the table first,” said JSV team boss Nadine Lautenschläger satisfied-as well with the decent backdrop and the good atmosphere in the hall, despite the summer weather.
Amber Gersjes, Seija Ballhaus and Verena Thumm, who won twice, were outstanding on Speyer. There was also a point from Lea Schmid at the start. Pech had Speyer’s Ukrainian Yelizaveta Lytvynenko, who had to give up the fight against the Dutchman Lieke Derks during her comeback, up to the weight class over 78 kilograms. Bettina Bauer and Darja Dorowskich also performed strong performances against favorite opponents, but were not rewarded with victories.
For both teams, the view of the play-offs, which will take place on September 6th. The participants will be determined for the grand finale on October 25th in Wuppertal. As a defending champion, the JSV is still good in the race, the first mandatory task of the season is done. Now it is important to take the next step. The location of the playoffs is determined promptly – the JSV has also applied and hopes for the contract.
