Culiacán, Sin., June 23, 2025.- When flagging the first part of the delegation that will represent Sinaloa at the National School Sports Games of Basic Education 2025, to be held in Puebla, the Secretary of Public Education and Culture, Gloria Himelda Félix Niebla, said that these games are part of an integral conception of education in which in addition to academic learning, they develop a healthy body.

In a newsletter it was detailed that the delegation is formed in total of 405 people, of which this day came the first part, corresponding to the primary level, with 160 boys and girls, 30 coaches and 10 delegates; On June 28, the secondary level will depart, with 197 students, in addition to coaches and delegates.

The head of the SEPyC, by congratulating our representatives for this achievement, said: “Today you are the reflection of those results; they are the reflection of the pride we feel, because this delegation will proudly represent the state of Sinaloa in these sports games, from July 23 to 4.”

And he invited them to fully live this experience since they make friends and friends of other entities, to live together already remembering that, in a game, the most important thing is to enjoy the moment.

The ceremony was also chaired by Catalina Esparza Navarrete, Undersecretary of Basic Education; Jorge Quintero Salazar, Undersecretary of Social Linking; Julio César Cascajares Ramírez, General Director of the Sinaloense Institute of Physical Culture and Sports; Filiberto Padilla Martín, director of Physical, Artistic and Technological Education of the SEPyC.

For her part, the Undersecretary Catalina Esparza Navarrete wanted the girls and boys who today leave for Puebla, to live this experience as a real celebration of the body and the spirit, as a school of life; that compete with joy, with dignity, with humility in victory and greatness in defeat, because the real triumph is in the attitude that the challenges face.

The National School Games are developed in ten disciplines in primary and 8 in secondary school, such as: chess, athletics, basketball, association football, handball, taekwondo, volleyball and bádminton in the female, male and mixed branches, and baseball in the male branch.

It is worth mentioning that after 2019, these meetings had been suspended by the pandemic, and it is until this year that they are retaken by the Ministry of Public Education and the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports -conade-, as an important component in the integral training of students, and a fundamental part of the project of the new Mexican school, seeking the development of a healthy life.
