Maifeld Cup: Spectator Guide & Highlights

Polch. The badminton department of the TG Polch will organize the Maifeld Cup, the open mayif championships in badminton for the third time this weekend (28th and 29th June 25). The starter lists are filled in the disciplines of women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed. “We recently had such a large number of participants in 2014; when our tournament was called Griesson-de Beukelaer Badminton-Cup!” Organizer Guido Kaufmann is happy. The participants are mostly “repeat offenders” who like to return to the Maifeldhalle due to the excellent tournament conditions. But new players will also be shown. A total of representatives from 36 different clubs, on the one hand from the surrounding area and the home badminton association (BVR), also take part in distant clubs, such as Münchweiler or Hoch-Weisel (Hessen).

The reports promise exciting encounters. In addition, the members of the Badminton department have once again organized a great supporting program that also has a lot to offer for spectators. The official greeting by the patron Maximilian Mumm takes place on Saturday, as on Sunday, at 10 a.m. All further information can be found at www.maifeld-cup.de.
