What is your feeling after this season?
The badminton and water polo, which constitute the club’s showcase in terms of high level, have deserved their accession to the highest national level. Poloists gentlemen had been crowned French champions of N1 in 2024 without being able to climb. It is therefore logical that this second place gives them the right to rub shoulders with the gratin next year after a full season (20 victories for 2 defeats). Our ladies’ poloists, on the other hand, have been evolving in the first division since the creation of the championship in the early 1980s. I also salute the title of Cassandre Dulac Famer in rhythmic gymnastics, the many national podiums of Emmanuel Arnaud in adapted sport (athletics), Saya Guadarrama (Kendo), Mila Noré and Camille Bernuz (climbing).

Without hesitation, it was the Water-Polo match that I had lived, as a coach, during the pandemic against the Circle of Swimmers in Marseille, which is one of the best European training. Do you reach your glass ceiling at the financial level?
Yes. When we were in an elite in 2020-2021, the budget was not much more important than this season but all the young championships being stopped, we had assumed the season financially. The climb proposed this year is however accompanied by obligations at the level of young people because we must register, supervise and make a team travel at the national level in four age categories. It will therefore be necessary, with the help of our partners, whether institutional or private, set up the budget of more than 150,000 euros! Because on the sports side, we will have to compensate for two important starts (Dani Alvarino and Jelto Spijker) and recruit an additional quality attacker.
