Returning from his loan to Panathinaikos, Azzedine Ounahi is the subject of an agreement between Olympique de Marseille and Spartak Moscow. But the midfielder opposes his transfer to Russia and only plans to return to Athens.
It is tense around Azzedine Ounahi. Back following his loan to Panathinaikos, the contract under contract with Olympique de Marseille opposes the will of its leaders. The latter reached an agreement for its transfer to Spartak Moscow, ready to bet 12 million euros in the operation. But to validate the deal, you must still obtain the approval of the principal interested. And according to the Greek media Gazzetta, the Moroccan international categorically refuses to fly to Russia.

Azzedine Ounahi clearly told the Olympian management that he would not join the Spartak Moscow. The former Angers player only wants to return to Panathinaikos where he has the assurance of playing a major role. On the sporting and financial levels, the Greek offer gives it complete satisfaction. His position does not do the business of Olympique de Marseille. Marseille decision -makers therefore decided to put pressure on their midfielder to encourage him to accept the invitation of the Spartak Moscow. For the moment, their pressing is absolutely not working.
Panathinaikos does not give in either
So instead of insisting with Azzedine Ounahi, the Marseille club tries to push Panathinaikos to align with the 12 million euros offered by the Russian training. There either, the Marseille pressure does not give the expected result. Panathinaikos does not intend to go up so high in the negotiations and would be ready to wait for the time it will take to lower the Marseille requirements. We can speak of a real showdown between the three parts. This is not the ideal situation for Azzedine Ounahi which risks receiving an icy reception when resuming training.
