Montbeton: Tennis Season Finale Party & Tournament

On the weekend of June 14 and 15, the Fête du Club Avenir Montbetonnais took place on the land of the town. More than forty children met for a day of entertainment and the discovery of the picolent, a racket sport which combines elements of tennis, padel, badminton and table tennis. It is played with a racket and a plastic perforated ball on a badminton ground above a tennis type net (small and large).

Then the final of the internal tournament took place from which the winners Lola Sartori and Antoine Lebrun emerged.

The day ended with a meal and a friendly mixed double tournament with around fifty participants (around 80 people at the meal). Aurélie Lopez and Maxime Passoni were assigned the Cup after a fierce tournament.

This day closed a tennis year rich in competitions; Unfortunately, no victory in the final but a large participation with a dozen children’s teams, 5 men’s teams and 3 women in department and 3 men’s and 2 regional women’s teams. “The important thing is to participate”, as the Baron Pierre de Coubertin said.

This day also announced the start of the club’s children’s and adult tournament. Registration on the Ten’UP application.

Finally, the club thanks all the volunteers without whom the club could not work, the two teachers Igor Bouvier and David Bohin and, of course, all and all tennis licensees without whom any of this would be possible. Currently, there are 155 licensees at the club.
