“The first part of Marelba 2025 starts to the conclusion.
It all started on Friday 20 June with a visit to the Medici fortresses, for which we must thank the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Portoferraio and the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, which made available to us the very good guide Tatiana Signini, thanks to which every aspect of the archeology of the place has been contextualized in every single historical period.
Following on Saturday there was, as always in the stretch of sea in front of the Ghiaie beach, the spectacular performance of the rescue dog units with their conductors of the Saucs group costs Maremma. Everything was possible thanks to the collaboration of the Coast Guard of Portoferraio assisted by the Bagnanti assistants of FISA and with the intervention for the first year also of the water bike used for the transport of people in difficulty.
On Sunday it was the Clou day: both the swimming races, curated by Adalberto Bertucci and Alberto De Simone, and the sailing tests, curated by the Naval League and in particular by Lorena Provenzali, with the effective contribution of the Exodus Foundation with Stanislao Pecchioli who made available to the participants, the Bamboo boat, took place. All these initiatives have seen a good participation as usual. In the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday, however, the usual Marelba Tournament of Beach Volley took place in Lacona, curated as always by Alessandro Mazzei, coach of the Elba volleyball company.
Today, Monday 23, the sporting events end with an Open Day edited by Patrizio Bolano of the arches of the great Falco, with the participation of the Baseball hawks, in the former gravel sports facilities. Now the second part is about to begin, represented by the Icaro project “.
